Alkmaar Ice Dance Workshop

Location: Sportcomplex De Meent, Terborchlaan 301, Alkmaar (on ice only)

Block 1 (8am-8:45am) is for basic 3-free skate 6 Learn to Skate beginners, SPA competition skaters, recreational skaters, and adults. Skaters will work on the basics (crossovers/progressives, chasses, swing rolls) with different tempos of music and learn the Preliminary Foxtrot pattern dance.

Block 2 (8:45-9:45am) is for competition skaters minis and higher. They must skate comfortable forward and backward with speed and be ables to do a wide variety of turns. Skaters of this level may optionally choose to join block 1 if they want to do some basics first, but lower level skaters cannot "skate up". These skaters will do more difficult variations of the ice dance foundational skating skills to build up the pattern dances "Kilian" and "Quickstep". If there is enough time, we will end the session covering the basics of ice dance twizzle sets.
